What we store

When you create an account we store your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture as provided by Google. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.

Your game save is stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your account: quest progress, quiz answers, notes, project submissions (including the links and write-ups you enter), trophies, your companion, and the code you write in the Workshop.

Why

Only to run Creature HQ: to sign you in and to load your progress on any device. We don't sell your data, show ads, or share it with anyone except the providers that host the service.

On your device

The app keeps a copy of your save and your theme preference in your browser's local storage so it loads quickly and works briefly offline. Firebase also stores a sign-in token in your browser.

Deleting your data

Open the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and your save. You can export a backup first from Settings → Backup.
